Needs no introduction. The best Camembert on the planet when ripe. The older they get, the more mushroomy and cabbagey the flavours become. Often compared to its much older and bigger brother Brie de Meaux, this diminutive little powerhouse came about during the French Revolution and has been enjoyed ever since. Pairs better with decent ciders than wines due to its funkier edge but if you have a good sparkly wine to hand then that will do the job nicely.
